Sai Palki

Sai Palki is a revered religious rite in Sai Baba's honor. Sai Baba's idol or portrait is carried by a gorgeously decorated palanquin as admirers sing bhajans and profess their love. Moving through the streets or temple grounds, the Palki which is decked with vivid flowers and colorful draperies, calls blessings from Sai Baba's heavenly presence. This joyful event promotes spirituality and fellowship among followers, inspiring fervor and intense devotion and resulting in a spiritually uplifting experience.

Since, Palki is a sign of regal paraphernalia, and Sai Baba is 'Ananta Koti Brahmanda Nayaka', Raghuvir Bhaskar Purandare, an ardent devotee, wished that Baba should be taken in a majestic palanquin procession, fit for the Master of the Universe.

Pooja's FAQ

Certainly, you have the flexibility to alter the date and time of the pooja. Kindly get in touch with POOJAT customer care for coordination.

The Palki procession is a revered tradition in Shirdi where devotees carry the portrait of Sai Baba in a procession, visiting significant places associated with his life, such as Dwarkamai and Chavadi.

The Thursday Palki procession typically starts at around 9:15 PM from the Samadhi Mandir and follows a route that includes Dwarkamai and Chavadi before returning to the Samadhi Mandir.

The Purna Kumbha ceremony involves welcoming Sri Sai Baba with a traditional welcome, symbolizing the inert body being filled with divine life force. The water in the Kumbha represents the primordial water from which creation emerged.

After booking a pooja with a pandit or temple, you will receive the pandit's contact number in the booking section. Feel free to reach out to confirm details and discuss any specific requirements.

Feel free to contact the pandit ji for guidance on samagri and other arrangements by making a call.

Any Sai devotee can host the Palki at their home by coordinating with the local organizer. If an individual can't coordinate or find the required number of homes, they can work with the local coordinator and enlist themselves as one of the five homes to have Baba's Palki on the designated day.
