Once, Sage Narada visited Kailash and presented a divine fruit to Lord Shiva and Parvati. This fruit was special—it granted supreme knowledge and immortality. Both Ganesha and Kartikeya wanted it.
To avoid conflict, Shiva proposed a challenge: “Whoever goes around the world three times and returns first will win the fruit.”
Without delay, Kartikeya mounted his peacock and sped across the skies, determined to win. Ganesha, on the other hand, looked at his parents, circled them three times, and bowed. He said, “For me, my parents are the whole world.”
🌸 Shiva and Parvati were deeply moved. They blessed Ganesha and gave him the divine fruit.
This story reveals a powerful truth: Wisdom is greater than speed. Devotion is greater than conquest. Understanding is greater than action.

In physical form, Kartikeya is depicted as a tall, youthful warrior, while Ganesha has a child-like charm with an elephant head. In power, both are divine and limitless in their own ways.
