Yagnopavit Jenue Sanskar

Yagnopavit Sanskar, also known as Janeu or Upanayan Sanskar, is one of the most important Solah Sanskaar in Hindu. Boy is called Dwija, meaning “twice-born,” as the boy is spiritually reborn through this ceremony. During the ritual, the sacred thread (Janeu or Yajnopaveetam) is placed over the left shoulder, symbolizing the beginning of a disciplined and spiritual life.

The ceremony is performed by Panditji and begins with Gauri Ganesh Puja, followed by Punyaha Vachan, Maha Sankalpam, Kalash Puja, and the main Upanayan ritual. A Havan is conducted according to the scriptures to purify the body and mind and invoke divine blessings.
